VISION 2020 CAMPAIGN

Rescue Project Imagine life with no water and no vision. People perish. We are determined to solve lack of clean water crisis and eye sight health.
VISION RESTORED. LIFE REGAINED.

It has been calculated that in South Africa alone that women collectively walk 16 times the distance from the moon and back per day gathering water for families

WOMEN SUFFER JUST TO PROVIDE THE BASIC ESSENTIALS

In some regions, women spend up to 5 hours a day collecting fuel, wood and water and up to 4 hours preparing food. The economic value of this unpaid contribution is enormous: in India, it is estimated that women fetching water spend 150 million work days per year, equivalent to a national loss of income of approximately $200 Million

UNSAFE WATER KILLS MORE THAN ANY COMBINATION OF DISEASE OR WAR

At any given time, half of the world’s hospital beds are occupied by patients suffering from diseases associated with the lack of access to safe drinking water, inadequate sanitation and poor hygiene.

OUR BODIES ARE 70% WATER

Truly, Water is life. Without it, there is no existence. By this, we are dedicated to being part of the solution of serving over 1 Billion people around the world who currently lack access to life's most basic need: CLEAN WATER.

DIRTY WATER = BLINDNESS

Improper santiation and unsafe water leads to eye diseases such as trachoma, which are a large cause of blindness.

UNSAFE WATER IS KILLING MILLIONS

Sub-Saharan Africa is the hardest hit by unsafe water, with 319 million people affected, with Southern Asia coming in second at 134 million people affected.

ONLY $2 CAN SAVE LIVES

Almost 2 out of 3 people in destitute areas who need safe drinking water survive on less than $2 a day.

CLEAN WATER IS LIFE

Diarrhea caused by inadequate drinking water, sanitation, and hand hygiene kills an estimated 842,000 people every year globally, or approximately 2,300 people per day.

EVERY PENNY HELPS

Every $1 spent on water and sanitation generates $8 as a result of saved time, increased productivity and reduced health care costs.

SEWAGE POLLUTION?

More than 80% of sewage in developing countries is discharged untreated, polluting rivers, lakes and coastal areas.

THE VISION TO SEE

An estimated 253 million people are visually impaired. Of those, 36 million are blind and 217 million have moderate to severe impairment.

1 BILLION & COUNTING

1 Billion people live with either impaired vision or nearly impaired vision.
